James Martin, a 74-year-old man from East Butler, Pennsylvania, was found dead in his ransacked home on December 30, 2016. Martin, who was a retired deputy sheriff from Ohio, was stabbed to death. His body was discovered by a friend who went to check on him when he didn't show up for a breakfast date. The crime scene was complicated, with security cameras inside and outside the home intentionally damaged.
