On August 17, 2017, 19-year-old Jeremy Edwards was found shot in Pittsburgh's Middle Hill District neighborhood. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene, and he had suffered a gunshot wound to the face. The incident occurred around 8 p.m. on Shemp Way, but the exact location of the shooting was not determined. Edwards was identified as a male victim of the shooting.
