Derrick Brown, a 16-year-old boy from Arnold, Pennsylvania, was tragically shot and killed on the night of February 19, 2017, in Pittsburgh's Northview Heights neighborhood. The incident occurred in a courtyard along Mt. Pleasant Road, where Derrick was found with a gunshot wound to the head. Emergency services responded to the call just before 11:30 p.m., and Derrick was taken to Allegheny General Hospital, where he later died.
