Gerard Patrick Grandzol, a 38-year-old male of Caucasian ethnicity, tragically lost his life on September 7, 2017, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was fatally shot in the head by Marvin Roberts, an 18-year-old at the time, during an attempted carjacking in front of his two-year-old daughter. Grandzol had just returned home from Fairmount Park with his daughter and the family dog when he was approached by Roberts and his older brother, Maurice Roberts.
