On October 10, 2017, 19-year-old Carlos Daniel Pascual Richiez, a male of Dominican descent, was fatally shot in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Born on May 20, 1998, in the Dominican Republic, he was the son of Teofilo Pascual Nunez and Yolanda Richiez. The incident occurred around 9:50 p.m., and Carlos was pronounced dead less than 30 minutes later at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest.
