In the early morning hours of November 25, 2017, the life of 18-year-old Jashun Patton, a Black male from Philadelphia, was tragically cut short in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Police were dispatched to a residence on the 1800 block of State Street following reports of a man down. Upon their arrival, they discovered Patton inside the home, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and his death was officially ruled a homicide.
