Tanesha Harkless, a 41-year-old African American woman from Erie, PA, tragically lost her life on March 24, 2018. She was found shot in her apartment along with her mother, Dorothy Gilkey, 63, by a man named Alfred Phillips, 75, who then took his own life. The Erie County Coroner's Office ruled the deaths of Harkless and Gilkey as homicides, while Phillips' death was ruled a suicide.
