Cedric Grier, a 28-year-old African American man from Cleveland, OH, died on September 23, 2015. According to police reports, Grier broke into his ex-girlfriend's home and confronted her along with another man inside. During the altercation, Grier began destroying property and then choked his ex-girlfriend until she lost consciousness. The situation escalated, and Grier was shot dead by the other man present in the apartment.
