Jazmere Brianna Custis, a 19-year-old African American woman from Homestead, Pennsylvania, tragically lost her life on June 22, 2018. She was an innocent victim of a drive-by shooting that occurred in Munhall, a borough near Pittsburgh. Custis was in her mother's car with three other young people when another vehicle pulled alongside and someone inside began firing. Custis was pronounced dead at the scene due to gunshot wounds to her head and right shoulder.
