On November 17, 2018, 19-year-old Miranda Grimm-Gilarski, a young woman from Homestead, Pennsylvania, tragically lost her life. She was fatally shot by her boyfriend, Darion Abel, who was 20 years old at the time. The incident occurred at her father's home on Louise Street in Munhall, Pennsylvania. Abel, who had just ended a tumultuous year-long relationship with Grimm-Gilarski, became enraged after receiving a court summons related to a previous altercation between the couple.
