Michael Boateng, a 24-year-old cab driver from Philadelphia, PA, tragically lost his life on July 4, 2018, during a block party on Buist Avenue in Southwest Philadelphia. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. when Boateng and 12th District off-duty Officer Fred Attakora were struck by bullets from a nearby shooting.
