Tywain J. Reid, a 29-year-old man from Vanderbilt, PA, was fatally shot on September 17, 2018. He was found lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds at the intersection of Center and Walnut Streets around 8:50 p.m. The incident occurred during an attempted robbery by a group of individuals who were trying to steal drugs and money from Reid.
Four individuals were initially charged with criminal homicide in connection with Reid's death.
Djamar “Bloody” Rodgers, 26, Roy William Aller Jr., 20, Peaches Spring Logan, 41, and Sjon-Luc Bochnak, 24, were all implicated in the crime. According to court documents, Rodgers and another unidentified shooter fired at Reid during the robbery attempt. Rodgers was denied bail, while the other suspects faced various charges related to the incident.
In addition to the initial suspects, Omari Sei-Tu Parker Jr., 19, was later charged with third-degree murder in connection with Reid's death. Parker was arrested in July 2019 and signed a tentative plea deal in September 2020, agreeing to serve 16 to 32 years in prison. The case involved multiple arrests and legal proceedings, with some charges being withdrawn and others resulting in guilty pleas and prison sentences for the involved parties.
