On June 22, 2024, Pennsylvania State Police responded to reports of gunfire in the 3700 block of Mountain Shadow Drive in Greene Township, Franklin County. Upon arrival, troopers discovered a red van stationary in the middle of the street, occupied by 33-year-old Lance Mitchell Riely of Saint Thomas. Riely had sustained a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
