Amel Jones Jr., a 22-year-old male from Chester, PA, tragically died on May 1, 2019, from a gunshot wound to the head. He succumbed to his injuries two days later at Crozer-Chester Medical Center. The incident occurred in the 500 block of West 10th Street, where police discovered a crime scene with numerous shell casings and bullet holes in several vehicles and structures. The case was investigated by city Detective Victor Heness and county Detective Timothy Deery.
