Gregory L. Smith, a 69-year-old Caucasian male from New Kensington, PA, was tragically shot and killed on May 23, 2019, while delivering newspapers on his usual route. Smith, who had served as an independent contractor for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette for over 18 years, was shot in the head and pronounced dead at the scene. His death was ruled a homicide by the Westmoreland County Coroner's Office.
