In the fall of 2019, the life of Vaughn Aaron Cromartie, a 37-year-old African American man from Philadelphia, was tragically cut short. On the evening of Monday, October 21st, Philadelphia Police officers were called to the 3300 block of North Philip Street where they discovered Cromartie lying in the street, unresponsive. He had been shot twice.
