In the late hours of a Sunday in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, a drug transaction turned deadly, leading to the tragic end of a young man's life. On October 27, 2019, 24-year-old Baith A. House, a Black / African American male, was shot multiple times inside a house on Penn Street. The incident unfolded during what investigators described as an attempted robbery.
According to the authorities, House and his roommate, Jordan Gregory, had arranged to sell marijuana to 19-year-old Raymond
Bosque. During the course of the transaction, it is alleged that House and Gregory attempted to rob Bosque. In response, Bosque, who was armed, claimed he acted in self-defense as he was being attacked. The ensuing struggle resulted in House being fatally wounded. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Following an investigation into the shooting, the Dauphin County District Attorney's Office made a ruling on the case. They determined that Bosque's actions were justified under the circumstances, concluding that he reasonably believed deadly force was necessary to protect himself. While Bosque was not charged in House's death, he did face a charge for carrying a firearm without a license.
