In the late morning of Friday, November 1, 2019, tragedy struck in a South Philadelphia neighborhood. William Gantz III, a 33-year-old Black male, was seated in the driver's seat of his white 2019 Mazda on the 2100 block of Jackson Street. It was there that he was ambushed in a hail of gunfire. The unexpected violence of the attack left him with multiple gunshot wounds.
