In the winter of 2019, a 32-year-old man named Mustafa Islam was fatally shot in Chester, Pennsylvania. On the morning of Friday, December 27th, police were called to a residence on the 3000 block of West 12th Street. Inside, they discovered Mustafa Islam suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper chest.
Paramedics transported him to Crozer-Chester Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 10:28 a.m. Investigators later determined that the actual shooting occurred a short distance away, on the 1100 block of Booth Street. His death marked the 18th homicide in the city of Chester for that year.
At the time of the initial reports, no arrests had been made in connection with the shooting. Authorities appealed to the public for any information that might aid in their investigation. The case remains unresolved, with no suspects publicly identified or apprehended.
