Ryan M. McGovern, a 32-year-old male from Plains Township, was fatally shot in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania on March 4, 2020. The incident occurred on Schuyler Street in what investigators described as a dispute over drugs. Another individual was also shot during the altercation but survived.

The investigation into the shooting led authorities to identify Jeremy Gittens as the primary suspect. A search for Gittens ensued, and he was eventually apprehended in New York. Following his arrest, ...
