Niko Eugene Dawson, a 31-year-old man from McKeesport, Pennsylvania, tragically passed away on July 22, 2020. Dawson was shot late Wednesday night on Soles Street, just before 11:30 p.m. He suffered gunshot wounds to the torso and was rushed to UPMC McKeesport Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries just after midnight. A 24-year-old woman was also injured in the shooting, with a bullet grazing her leg. She was treated at the scene and did not require hospitalization.
