Jimia Alston, a 31-year-old woman from Williamsport, PA, tragically died on October 15, 2020, from a gunshot wound sustained in her home. She was discovered lying just inside the front door of her residence at 506 Louisa Street around 6:40 p.m. Alston was rushed to UPMC Williamsport but succumbed to her injuries while undergoing emergency surgery. The Lycoming County Coroner confirmed her death shortly after she arrived at the medical center.
