On March 12, 2021, Najeebat Adedolapo Sule, a 24-year-old woman of Nigerian descent, was tragically shot and killed while sitting in her car on the 8800 block of Frankford Avenue in Holmesburg, Philadelphia. She was just two months shy of obtaining her Ph.D. in Public Health from West Chester University. Najeebat, lovingly called Najee by her friends and family, was known for her kindness, intelligence, and dedication to helping others.
