In the early hours of March 18, 2021, 20-year-old Rodney Hargrove was released from the Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility in Philadelphia. Less than an hour after he walked out of the prison, he was shot and killed on the jail grounds in what police have described as a tragic case of mistaken identity. Hargrove, a male, had been incarcerated for about a week on theft and weapons charges before a bail company posted his $200,000 bond.
