Jhalil Shands, a 25-year-old Black male, tragically lost his life on April 5, 2021, in Philadelphia, PA. He was shot multiple times in the chest while walking with his girlfriend on the 300 block of Chestnut Street in Old City. According to police reports, four men exited a van and fired at least 27 shots, targeting Shands. Despite immediate medical attention, Shands was pronounced dead at the scene.
