On April 8, 2021, 18-year-old Tyjuan Malachi, an African American male from Pittsburgh, PA, tragically lost his life after being shot in the head in the Northview Heights neighborhood. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, just after midnight, in the 800 block of Mount Pleasant Road. Malachi was found by police who were already in the area investigating an earlier shooting. He was rushed to Allegheny General Hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
