In the spring of 2021, just two weeks shy of his high school graduation, 18-year-old Nasir Marks was excitedly preparing for the future. A senior at Overbrook High School in Philadelphia, he had plans to attend Kutztown University in the fall and was even practicing a speech on diversity for his senior project on the evening of May 25th.
