Jalen Mehki Jones, a 16-year-old Black male, tragically lost his life on June 4, 2021, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was one of two individuals shot on the 5509 block of Market Street that evening. Responding officers found Jalen suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and immediately transported him to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
