Stanley Cooksey, a 50-year-old man from Harrisburg, PA, was fatally shot on July 7, 2021, inside his apartment on North Fifth Street. The incident occurred after an argument with his girlfriend, Latosha Stoney, 46, who discovered that Cooksey had fathered a child with another woman. During the altercation, a struggle over a handgun ensued, and the weapon discharged, resulting in Cooksey being shot in the face. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and Stoney was charged with homicide.
