Terrence L. Coates, a 30-year-old male of African American ethnicity, tragically lost his life on August 12, 2021, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was fatally shot in a confrontation that took place in downtown Pittsburgh, near Fort Duquesne Boulevard. The incident occurred just a block away from Pittsburgh's Cultural District and across the Roberto Clemente Bridge from a Pittsburgh Pirates baseball game.
