On August 20, 2021, Michael DeBeary, a 32-year-old man from Uniontown, PA, was tragically killed in a shooting at the Meridian Point Apartments in North Union Township. According to police reports, DeBeary was involved in an altercation with two other men in the main lobby of the apartment complex. During the altercation, DeBeary was shot and pronounced dead at the scene. The other two men involved in the altercation were treated for unspecified injuries.
