In the late afternoon of September 22, 2021, a sequence of events unfolded in the Beltzhoover neighborhood of Pittsburgh that would culminately result in the tragic death of Daniel James Brice, a 26-year-old male. Brice had arranged to meet an individual to sell marijuana, a transaction that was communicated via text message. Accompanied by two other adults and two children, Brice was driven to a vacant home on Climax Street for the arranged meeting.
