In the autumn of 2021, a life was unexpectedly cut short in a quiet Penndel Borough home. On the afternoon of November 8th, authorities were called to a residence on Cynthia Avenue for a report of a shooting. Inside, they discovered 39-year-old Christopher Skidmore, who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the stomach. At the time of the incident, Skidmore had been staying at the home with his girlfriend.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting was launched by the borough police, Bucks County detectives, and the coroner's office. Following their inquiry, the Bucks County Coroner, Meredith Buck, officially ruled the death an accident. The investigation concluded that the fatal wound was not the result of a criminal act, and therefore, no arrests were made in connection with the case. Christopher D. Skidmore, a resident of Lansford, Pennsylvania, was pronounced deceased in Reading, Pennsylvania.
