Levonte Antonio Ford, a 28-year-old male from Erie, Pennsylvania, tragically passed away on December 26, 2021. Ford was born on October 3, 1993, in Norfolk, Virginia, and was known for his love of singing, writing music, football, comedy, and cooking. He was a caregiver for Aveana Healthcare and a graduate of East High School in Erie. Ford was also a loving father to two daughters, Arianna and Le’Nasia Ford.

Ford's death occurred during an after-hours party at a building on West Eighth Street in Erie. The party, which featured live entertainment, free liquor, and a $20 entry fee, ended in tragedy when multiple gunshots were fired at the back of the building shortly after 4 a.m. Ford, who was believed to be working security at the event, was shot in the head and pronounced dead at the scene. Erie Police Chief Dan Spizarny described the incident as a "cowardly act" and a targeted attack, as Ford did not appear to have had any confrontation before being shot.

The investigation into Ford's death revealed that the shooting was a calculated homicide, with the shooter firing from a distance. Erie police detectives reviewed surveillance video from the area and found shell casings behind the building, but no suspects were immediately identified. The investigation continued as authorities sought additional video footage and information from the public to identify the perpetrator.

As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with Ford's death, and the case remains open. The Erie County Coroner ruled the death a homicide, and detectives are actively working to locate the shooter. The community continues to mourn the loss of Ford, who was deeply loved by his family and friends.
