On October 13, 2012, John Martinez, a 45-year-old father of four, was tragically shot and killed in the driveway of his home in Houston, Texas. Martinez was returning home late in the evening after visiting his brother when he was attacked. The assailants shot him multiple times and robbed him of his wallet and cell phone. His wife, Norma Martinez, and their son were inside the home when they heard the shots. They opened the door to find John lying unconscious and bleeding.
