Jewett, born and raised in Philadelphia, was a father to four sons. He had met his fiancée, Alexandra Guzman, as a teenager, and they were building a life together. He had studied carpentry at the Hiram G.
Andrews Technical Center and was remembered by his loved ones as a quiet, respectful, and dedicated family man. Just weeks before his death, he and his fiancée had been looking at engagement rings, dreaming of a future that would not come to be.
In the wake of the shooting, the Philadelphia police have been investigating the homicide. However, to date, no arrests have been made in connection with Isaiah Jewett's death, and no suspects have been publicly identified. A reward of up to $20,000 has been offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for his murder.
