In the early moments of a cold Philadelphia morning, tragedy struck on the 5100 block of North 6th Street. It was there, at approximately 12:11 a.m. on January 13, 2022, that 28-year-old Berjon Coleman, a Black male, was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds that would ultimately claim his life.
Responding Philadelphia Police officers discovered Coleman and quickly arranged for his transport to Albert Einstein Medical Center.
Despite the urgent medical attention he received, the severity of his injuries proved to be too great, and he succumbed to them at the hospital. The shooting occurred in the Olney section of the city.
As of early 2026, the case of Berjon Coleman's death remains unsolved. The Philadelphia Police Department has been actively investigating the homicide but has not publicly identified any suspects or made any arrests in connection with the shooting. Authorities have been seeking information from the public to help move the investigation forward and bring closure to the friends and family of Berjon Coleman.
