Gerald "Jerry" Parks, a 37-year-old man from Philadelphia, PA, was tragically killed on May 29, 2022. He and his 9-year-old son, Jamel Parks, were shot and killed in a drive-by shooting shortly after returning from a family cookout. The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. on Carver Street in the Wissinoming section of Philadelphia. The shooters, believed to be in a dark-colored vehicle, fired at least 13 rounds from two separate caliber weapons at the car, striking both victims multiple times.
