On a street on Detroit's west side, a family's life was irrevocably shattered. Chapane Howard, a 24-year-old female, was riding in a car with her boyfriend and children at the intersection of Chicago and Mettetal streets when an unknown individual opened fire. The sudden barrage of bullets claimed Chapane's life.
