On an autumn evening in Emlenton, Pennsylvania, a long-simmering dispute over hunting grounds culminated in the shooting death of 52-year-old Robert 'Bob' Cy Wingard. The incident, which occurred on October 28, 2022, in Scrubgrass Township, led to the arrest of David C. Heathcote, also 52, who was subsequently charged with criminal homicide. Wingard, a White male from Parker, was pronounced dead at the scene from a gunshot wound to the face.
