Shahere "Diamond" Jackson-McDonald, a 27-year-old Black transgender woman, was tragically shot and killed inside her mother's apartment in Philadelphia's Germantown neighborhood on Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 2022. Investigators found no obvious signs of forced entry, and Jackson-McDonald was pronounced dead at the scene after being shot multiple times. The door to the apartment was open when police arrived.
