On an otherwise quiet morning in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, the community was shaken by the discovery of a young man's body. Wakiel Jones Jr., a 27-year-old African American male, was found unresponsive on the 300 block of South Marshall Street on November 30, 2022. Emergency medical personnel were dispatched to the scene around 11:00 AM, but it was too late; Jones was pronounced dead upon their arrival, his body bearing apparent injuries that hinted at a violent end.
