Rebecca Avery, a 13-year-old girl from Willoughby, Ohio, tragically lost her life on April 17, 1989. Her death was part of a horrific event known as the Kirtland Cult Killings, which remains one of the most chilling mass murders in Lake County's history. Rebecca, along with her parents Dennis and Cheryl Avery, and her siblings Trina and Karen , fell victim to cult leader Jeffrey Lundgren and his followers.
