Cheryl Lynn Clisby Avery, a 42-year-old woman of mixed ethnicity, tragically lost her life on April 17, 1989, in Willoughby, Ohio. Cheryl, along with her husband Dennis Avery and their three daughters, Trina Denise Avery , Becky Avery , and Karen Avery , were murdered by Jeffrey Lundgren. The family was led one by one to a muddy pit, where they were bound with duct tape, shot, and buried in a common grave. Lundgren claimed that the killings were commanded by God.
