On August 1, 1995, Charles Kevin Blankenship, a 24-year-old male from Cincinnati, Ohio, was shot and killed by his neighbor, Charles Cole. The incident occurred on the front porch of Cole's house in the South Fairmount neighborhood. The murder was captured on Cole's home security system, which recorded Cole firing four shots at Blankenship as he approached the porch. Blankenship succumbed to his injuries on the scene.
