In the summer of 2011, the life of 26-year-old Martez Norwood was tragically cut short in a brutal act of violence that has yet to be solved. On June 26th of that year, the Detroit Police and Fire Departments responded to a call in the 19000 block of Westmoreland, near 7 Mile Road. Upon their arrival, they made a grim discovery: the bodies of two men who had not only been shot but were also burned beyond recognition.
