Dexter M. Burroughs, a 21-year-old Black male, was tragically shot and killed on May 16, 2010, inside Club Ritz on Seymour Avenue in Roselawn, Cincinnati, Ohio. The incident occurred during a dispute over a woman, which escalated when the shooter left the club and returned with a gun. Despite the presence of security guards using metal detecting wands, the gun was not detected, and Burroughs was fatally shot surrounded by approximately 700 potential witnesses.
