On November 30, 2011, 28-year-old African American male Keith High was fatally shot in a residence on Schoenherr Road near Eight Mile on Detroit's northeast side. The incident occurred when 33-year-old Nasir Banks entered the home and opened fire, resulting in the deaths of Keith High and 20-year-old Kalvin Turner, and leaving a 25-year-old man critically injured. Authorities indicated that the location was a suspected drug house.
