Eugene Blackman, a 36-year-old African American man from Toledo, OH, was tragically shot and killed on May 8, 2016, at Lyric's Lounge. The incident was part of a violent family feud between the Blackman and Hopings families. Eugene Blackman was known affectionately as "IceMan" to his family and friends. He was born on June 10, 1979, and was a beloved figure in his community.
