Scottie Lamar Thornton Jr., a 21-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on July 24, 2016, in Cleveland, Ohio. He was fatally shot around 2:00 AM in the 6800 block of Bushnell Court and was found face down at the corner of E68th and Bushnell. Thornton was a college student at Ashland University and had aspirations to continue his studies and play football. His family believes the shooting may have occurred during a robbery, but the case remains unsolved.
